Give future saves a common home
Browser bookmarks, social saves and chats all hold useful things. The awkward moment comes later: you remember saving something but cannot remember which app has it.
You don't need to empty every platform. Start by keeping the links you want for yourself in one place as well. Continue using the original app, but keep your own clues together.
Bring the context with the URL
Add words you are likely to look for: “Dalian,” “coastal path” or “next trip.” Your own context may be more recognizable than the page's original title.
Before saving another copy, see whether an existing note would be better with a new thought. Noppima avoids duplicating the same share callback, but separate saves of the same URL are not automatically merged.
Move older links when there is a reason
For an upcoming trip, bring over that trip's material. For something you are writing, find the relevant sources. Look at each one as you move it and leave behind what no longer matters.
This approach gives you a useful collection before every old bookmark is sorted. Full webpage archiving and bulk imports from another platform are different jobs; keeping URLs does not do either.
Use Android sharing to collect in Noppima
- Use the source app's system share option and choose Noppima. The material it actually sends goes into the Inbox.
- If it cannot share, copy the URL. Use an unlocked clipboard capture action or paste it into a manual note.
- Add a place, purpose or reason you will recognize.
- Search for those words later and move what you want to keep into the Library.
Noppima does not sign into other platforms to sync saved collections or fetch full webpages. What it receives depends on what the source app shares.
