Check the tasks, not just the label
“Works offline” should mean more than opening the app. Check the things you actually need: writing, finding an older note and viewing a saved picture.
| In Noppima | Connection needed? |
|---|---|
| Write and read saved notes and pictures | No |
| Search local notes, use tags and folders | No |
| Generate a note image and save it to your gallery | No for generation and local saving |
| Open a website or post to a social app | Depends on the destination; usually yes |
| Check for or download an update | Yes |
Local notes still need a way out
No account means you can start without signing up. It does not mean your notes will automatically appear on a replacement phone, or that the device can never fail.
Export important material to a location you choose and open a few notes and pictures to check the result. Noppima offers an open export, not an import-and-restore system. If you need live device sync or one-tap restoration, include that in your choice of tool.
Offline and encrypted are different questions
Ask where the content is stored, whether an account is required, which actions go online and who can read an exported copy. An offline app is not necessarily an encrypted vault.
Noppima keeps your records locally without an account or content cloud sync. When you choose to export or share, the copy is handled by the destination you select. Its open export is not an encrypted backup.
Try your own offline routine
After installing and completing the welcome journey, disconnect for a moment. Write a note, add a photo from your phone, reopen it and search for a word you wrote. Send it through another app once a connection is available.
That checks the routine you care about. Noppima is currently available on Android; the iOS app is coming later. Local storage does not imply Android-to-iOS sync.
The connection can wait. The thought doesn't have to.
