How to remember why you saved a link

Save one line about why the link matters: a method to try, a question it raised or a place you want to visit. You can leave the full write-up for later.

A reason worth keeping

A coastal walk for the Dalian trip. I want a day without rushing between stops; check transport before going.

The URL tells you where. Your sentence tells you why.
01

Make the reason more useful than “read later”

“Useful” could describe almost any bookmark. Give your future self a little more to go on: what caught your attention, and where you might use it.

What you savedA reason you could add
A travel guideA coastal path for a trip with fewer stops and more time to walk.
A way to organize photosTry one photo a day with a sentence about the moment.
A passage about communicationThis reminds me of yesterday's disagreement. What was I worried about?

These are examples, not polished summaries. The reason just needs to be recognizable when you return.

02

Keep your response separate from the source

Keep the link, source details or a passage you choose to save. Write your response underneath. A passage about travel journals might lead to: “I don't want a full diary. I want one photo that brings the day back.”

A saved link is not an offline copy of the webpage. If the original disappears, the URL may no longer open. Where permitted, keep the particular excerpt or image you need rather than assuming a bookmark preserves everything.

03

Revisit the links you are likely to use

Start with recent links or material for something you are doing now. Keep what still matters with the topic it belongs to, add a new thought if your view has changed, and let go of what you no longer need.

Search for clues you wrote, such as “coastal walk” or “one photo a day.” Those words need to be in your note; don't assume text inside pictures or the whole linked page is automatically searchable.

04

Keep the link and your reflection together in Noppima

  1. Use the source app's system share option and choose Noppima. The text, link or supported image it sends goes into your Inbox.
  2. Open the saved record and add a short reason beneath it.
  3. To develop the idea, create a Library note and use the editor's Inbox insertion tool. Insert the material as a citation and keep the original.
  4. Add your reflection beneath the citation. Return to the same reflection area when you want to continue.

What arrives depends on the source app. Noppima does not invent missing source details or fetch a full page that was not shared.

Keep what the link meant to you.
